Robert "Bob" Langhans

Beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, Brother and Businessman.

As a long time Sparks resident his family owned business Greenbrae Trophy Center was built on his knowledge and guidance from previously owned businesses including Bob's Sweeping Service and the well known family business the "Chuck Wagon" restaurant.

Bob lost his hard fight with cancer battling the disease with the most amazing grace and strength. He lived everyday with positivity and determination not to let the disease keep him from doing the things he loved.

He was a graduate of Sparks High School, and an active member of the National Guard reserves for 8 years. He attended San Francisco City College where he earned a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, John and Louise Langhans, and is survived by his brother John Langhans, 11 children (including step children), 23 grandkids, 2 great-grandchildren.

Bob was a strong, kind, loving, hardworking and supportive father. His grandkids loved his wet mustache kisses with a tickly scratch of his chin whiskers and the endless sweet treats he'd carry in his pockets.

Bob was an outdoor enthusiast as he loved hunting/fishing, Pyramid Lake and horseshoes.

Bob was known for his infectious stories, love for cheesecake, a brandy and coke after a long day and the clanging of a winning slot machine.
