Robert Bohus Obituary
Robert Bohus, a former Staten Island resident, died on September 5, 2023, after a brief illness. Born in 1950 to John and Mary Bohus, he moved with his parents from New York City to Staten Island in 1961. After commuting to New York City to finish elementary school, he attended St. Peter's Boys High School in Staten Island.
Bob was a gifted mechanic, working as a refrigeration mechanic for Maher Terminals in Port Elizabeth, NJ. After retiring he moved to Sebastian, FL.
His hobbies included fishing, boating, scuba diving, and working on cars.
He is survived by ex-wife Irene Bohus and two daughters, Melissa Cosentino of Staten Island and Amanda Bohus of Brooklyn, and ex-wife Susan Bohus and one son, Robby Bohus of Brick, NJ. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Thomas, Michael, and Samantha, and a sister, Kathy Garaventa of Toms River, NJ. He and his ex-wife Susan remained close friends throughout the rest of his life.
A private memorial service will be held.

I can´t believe it´s been 2 years since you left us. I miss you SO MUCH every single day. The worst thing is not being able to call you for no reason. We´d sit on the phone for hours. 73 is too young to die but God wanted you. I love you always!

My deepest condolences to the Bohus family. I was a classmate of Bobs' in H.S. I have only the fondest of memories of him. It was a pleasure to have made his acquaintance, he was always friendly and considerate and very easy to converse with. You Bob will be honored in todays rosary. It was nice to have had a friend like you!

Hung around with Bob during the teen years into our early 20´s where we had many good times. I can still hear that cheap VW motor as it pulled up in front of my house. And since I worked in the gas station by our house $2.00 worth of gas would last the entire week in that VW. Oakwood was a pretty decent place to grow up. He always became very animated whenever he spoke of Susan - he really cared about her.

We only knew eachother for for about 5 or 6 yrs.but our friendship was so strong I felt like we had known eachother forever. You were a very caring and compassionate man and my heart is broken. Until me meet again my dear friend.
