Robert O Bolan

Robert O'Connor Bolan, "Bob," age 65, was last seen on June 25, 2023 on the Colorado River. He was the beloved father of Patrick, Sean and Timothy Bolan and brother of Jerry (Sandy) Bolan, Tom Bolan, Patty (Tom) Platts, John (Mary) Bolan, Cathy (LJ) Fallon, Christy (Tino) Pucci, Richard (Dorelle) Bolan, Mary Anne (Kevin) Tankersley and Brian (Gretchen) Bolan. He was predeceased by his parents, Steve and Mary Ellen Bolan and his brother, Jim. He is also survived by his former wife, Meg (Stevie) Bolan and 28 nieces and nephews. Bob was born in Cincinnati, OH, the fourth of 11 children. He went to Covington Latin School and received a Bachelor's degree at Xavier University where he went on to serve as Assistant Registrar. He then received a Masters of Computer Science from Purdue University and worked at AT&T Bell Labs in Columbus, OH when he obtained his JD from Capitol University. Bob moved his family to Seattle, Washington to work as a patent lawyer for Microsoft Corp. He eventually started his own intellectual property firm and worked for several startups throughout his career. Bob loved skiing, fishing, biking, volleyball and other outdoor activities, especially those with his family.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 16 at 10:00 am at Bellarmine Chapel at Xavier University in Cincinnati followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 am.
