Not a day goes by where I don't think of you, my friend. But you live through the speakers of my car...

Bobby was my best friend before I was old enough to know what a friend was. We lived on the same street, played together, went to school together, and grew up together. We played Star Wars, pulled cushions off the couch, and ran around playing things such as Batman and Robin. (He was the leader of our duo and insisted on always being Batman.)
Moving away was hard but we kept in touch over the phone (back when long distance calling cost money!) and our families saw each other a lot. I'm sure my first sleepovers were with Bobby. He liked to tell scary stories before we went to sleep and was a very convincing storyteller - I was usually terrified!
Our friendship remained strong in our teenage years but of course was very different from our childhood. Our interests were not necessarily the same, but Bobby's interests - his passions - were intriguing to me and he broadened my horizons and developed in me an appreciation for music. I loved to hear Bobby play his guitar, especially songs that he wrote. Now my daughter is passionate about theater and music, just like Bobby; her strumming on the guitar reminds me of him.
I was a shy teenager and Bobby was at the time the only person who I was comfortable talking with about meaningful things. He always had thoughtful advice and helped me live a fuller, more rewarding life.
We fell out of contact in college but Bobby will forever remain part of who I am. Rest in peace, Bobby.

There are no words to the depth of heart ache i and everyone who's lives he touched feel right now. A piece has been ripped from my soul and heart. I will always love Bob and all the joy he brought to me and everyone with only a smile.
The world has lost a truly gentle soul and one of the greatest talents it didn't get a chance to fully realize. I love you Bigga.

I am so sorry to hear about this loss! I knew Bob only through our Tutor.com conversations over the years but they were enough for me to deeply appreciate his kindness, his sense of humor, his conscientiousness, his patience and his dedication. When he came out here to Indiana once on a business trip he stopped by my library and we chatted in person for a bit. I was delighted to learn of our mutual interest in live theatre. But mostly I talked with Bob by phone and it was always a pleasure, even when we were haggling over a contract. Oh, I am so sad to hear of Bob's passing. 'Wishing all of his family and friends peace and comfort.

Bob Bonocore inspired me to be a playwright. One of the greatest joys of my life was directing his play The Onion Lovers at FringeNYC 2006 with Mike O'Gorman & Kellie Arens. I was honored with his trust in me to bring his words from the page to the stage. We won Outstanding Ensemble that year, and Bob was beaming. This photo is on my desk to this day with the frame that Bob had inscribed for me. I cherish it and gives me the strength to trust in my work. Bob is the reason I am a playwright today. I will love you forever Bobalicious.

To our Dear Nephew Bobby. You have left us way too early; but we know you are in Heaven playing your music and your cousin Kristen is right besides you singing along with you with your beautiful music & her beautiful opera voice. We love you!

Bob gave me art- he gave me the Beatles, Pearl Jam, Beck. He taught me how to act on stage, and how to be carefully creative. He was a loving soul, a kind heart (which is what his last name means), and we stayed in touch long after Rider.Just up until 2016. I will miss Bob dearly..he was a giant talent and full of loyalty.
my condolences. Elaina

Bob was a brother to me. He even has the same birthday as my brother who passed away when Bob and I were in high school. We spent a lot of time together talking and reminiscing about his love interests; girls and the arts. He was always ready to laugh really hard and was known to be extremely passionate and also sentimental about certain people places and things in his life. He was a loyal friend and confidant. He just wanted to be happy and make art. I know he'll be doing that while watching over us forever from above. I love you Bob. I will miss you dearly.
