Our heartfelt sympathy to all the Boone family. Bobby Boone was such a quiet thoughtful gentleman. We served on the Florida Wildlife Federation board together and loved some of the same books. We remember him fondly. Godspeed. Franklin & Kathy Adams.

We were so saddened to learn that the last time we would see Bobby was at the last reunion. What a fine friend, family man, and officer he was. When I was a Captain and Bobby was a Major in the 187th, we worked in the "Frag Shop" during an ORI. All jobs are important in an ORI, and this was no exception, and although Bobby was new to this kind of work, he personified the notion of "Grace under pressure." It was such a pleasure to work with this man and to have him as a friend for so many years after that. I grieve his loss with all of you out there.
Officers that came out of the enlisted ranks like Bobby did are often the best we had, and Bobby was one of those. And I looked up to him not only because he was tall, but because he earned the respect he was given! And, no, Bobby was not a "rated" officer, for he wore no wings, but you have wings now, old friend. You have wings.
God Bless.

My friend Bobby,
How Mr. Bill and myself will miss our annual hunt with you and Allison. Your Father was the definition of a Southern Gentleman, a good friend and a mentor. He made a difference in my life. God speed Bobby and tell those in heaven " Don't shoot low"

Deedee,

I was stunned to hear the news of Bobby's passing. He was a southern gentleman, but more than that the two of you were special. I'm so sorry for your loss. I pray that God's grace will cover you at such a difficult time

I have known the Boone family for 35 years. We moved in right down the street from them when I was just 9 years old and Alison was our bus monitor. Momma and Daddy Boone, as I called them, became my second parents. Alison was a great big sister to me as well. Momma and Daddy Boone would take me to the high school football games to watch Alison's drill team competition and then we would go to Farrell's with all of them. Daddy Boone was the perfect southern father, sweet, gentile and guiding with a firm hand. Their home was a refuge for me in times of struggle. Daddy Boone will always hold a special place in my heart. Alison, I love ya.

Growing up as Alison's best friend, I spent a lot of time at the Boone's house and got to go on many trips with them. Mr. Boone loved to joke with me (although I could never tell if he was joking or being serious!). He made me feel like part of the family. I will miss him. Love to you, my sweet Alison.

Bobby was a very good fisherman. He spent many hours fishing with me on the Reveille II catching every thing from 310 lb warsaw to 20 lb red snapper. He was a dear friend and will be greatly missed.
