I had the pleasure of working alongside Bob in the IT department at CBORD for over six years. He was always a terrific and outrageously fun person to be around. He truly lit up the entire workplace with his humor, good spirits, incredible talent and great work ethic. Bob is a kind and caring soul. He used his time on Earth to bring joy and he really did make the world a better place. He is missed by many.

Bob was the heart of CBORD; his patience and wisdom, and mostly his friendship will stay forever. We shared an appreciation for WKRP in Cincinnati as well other old school TV shows. I miss him each day. He befriended me when I was a new employee and remained a friend.

I had the pleasure of knowing Bob for over 20 years. Words cannot express the sadness that I feel and I know nothing that I say or do will help or comfort you and your family. The loss of Bob will be forever felt, he is like a ripple in the pond, his life touched so many that it will not end in his death, he will always live on in our hearts.

I met Bob more than 20 years ago when I first began working at CBORD, and we became fast friends almost immediately. Bob was hysterically funny, creative, and talented. We spent hours playing music trivia games, watching TV shows over the phone, and working on UGC videos. We often joked that were like Will and Grace (or perhaps more like Jack and Karen). I am blessed and honored to call him Friend. Love you Bob, miss you so much.

I had the good fortune to know Bob for over 23 years as a colleague. Whenever I was in Ithaca, he always had time for a friendly greeting with a big smile. He was a special person with a big heart, a terrific sense of humor. Please accept our condolences, Bob will not be forgotten.

I only had the chance to work with Bob for about a year, but his passion for life and his creativity were boundless. He is somebody that made things better, every day. His attitude was infectious. I miss him, and I most certainly wish I could have known him for many years.

I have known Bob since he was a little, little boy. I remember him always wanting to read books. He was such a fun boy and turned into a wonderful man. I will always remember that smile that would brighten up any room. You will be missed by many Bob. Fly high my friend, fly high.

Friends and Family of Bob Borst,
Bob worked with my mom Anne Berkey. I met Bob when she was showing me where Cbord moved to. Bob took the time to show me around when I didn't even know him. Also, it was a Saturday and I was impressed that he was there at all. It is too bad that I didn't get to know him better. I visited bobborst.com and it was cool. I am sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure to work with Bob for almost 25 years and he was one of the most kind people one could ever meet. He never had a bad word to say about anyone and would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. I will truly miss him stopping by my desk with some fun music trivia or just something cool to share with me. I'll especially miss seeing his smiling face around the office. My deepest sympathy to Phil, his friends and his family.

Bob was one of a kind! He had heart, creativity, joy and smarts. Bob had a way of interjecting fun into everything he did at work. It will be sad not to see him in the halls and all the other places you knew Bob had a hand in - which was many!
Bob will remain in our hearts and thoughts.

Bob and I met at CBORD 12 years ago. He was an amazing fun loving person who was always ready to smile or help. We found we shared something in common last year as we both went to the same High School in upstate NY and we both had my father as a history teacher albeit one year difference in timing. I will miss him personally and I know ALL of CBORD will miss him. Phil: We have never met but my condolences are with you as you go through this tough period of loss.

What a beautiful tribute Phil. When someone we love passes away, we ache, but we go on; our dearly departed would want us to heal, after they are gone. Bob will always be remembered in our hearts.

Bob was one of the first people I met when I started at CBORD 20 years ago. His sense of humor brought a special joy to the work place. Because of a long ago joke we shared about Star Wars, he became "Bob-a-fet" to me and always will be. He never missed a chance to let his inner child out to play and it was such fun to play along with him.

So sad to hear about Bob's passing i worked with Bob for 23 years and considered him a dear dear friend. He was a joy to work with and years ago we shared a love of Diet Dr Pepper. He will be missed by many.
