Robert Bostic II Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 13, 2025.
It is with great sorrow that his family announces the sudden passing of Robert Eugene Bostic II (50) of Mounds View, MN, on May 11, 2025. Rob was born in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Thomas Edison High School in NE Minneapolis and earned a BA from Cardinal Stritch University in Business Administration. He enlisted in the United States Army Reserves serving tours in Afghanistan and Iraq for which he received multiple service commendations and achievement medals before his Honorable Discharge as Sergeant First Class.

Rob was an avid Harley rider and cigar aficionado. He was known for his sharp wit and his deep devotion to his family. He was a doting PopPop and generous to anyone who was fortunate to call him friend.

Rob is survived by his loving family, children: Victoria (Benjamin), Brandon, and Alex; granddaughter: Willow; mother, Gloria Bostic; siblings Veronica Cardenas, Christy (Andrew) Stueve, Natalie (Christopher) Fletcher; and nieces and nephews: Spencer (Ashley), Savanah, Scarlet and Brendan. He is further survived by numerous dear cousins, close friends and military brothers. Predeceased by his grandmother, Dominga Torres DeLeon.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that mourners make a donation to "Operation Battle Cry" to honor the deceased, obattlecry.org, a charity that supports veterans as they transition back to civilian life.

There are so many memories that I have of Rob. Playing in the sticks down by the Red River in East Grand Forks, MN. One of the last times I saw Bobby, he literally gave me the shirt off his back because I said I thought it was cool. Man Rob, you know I loved you and looked up to you. Whether it was the state fair we went to you your blue car with the ragged drop-top and meeting girls there, or Rob bringing me to the hospital after getting my eye split open on White Bear Lake. So much to say.

I am still in shock. Words cannot describe the pain are family will go through for awhile knowing youre no longer here. I have been struggling since hearing about the loss of you. I will forever be grateful for being able to have you as my cousin. You have taught me so much and I will forever carry that with me, you were such an amazing person and always had a smile on your face and brought smiles to those around you, if i was ever upset around you it didnt last long because you always saw the upside of things. I love you so much Rob and I miss you

I want to give thoughts and prayers to all of Rob's family and friends. I knew Rob over 30 years ago in our NE Mpls days. He was a good guy, and funny. I remember he had his outside macho persona, but as I got to be closer friends with him, I could see how much family and friends mattered to him. We were still fairly young, not always making the best decisions. I maybe wouldn't have thanked you back then, Rob, but I wish our paths would've crossed again, now later in life, and I could tell you thank you for saving my life, saving me from myself back then. I know our lives split ways back then. I didn't know you were a relative of one of my fb friends until I saw this and was shocked it was you. I pray you rest easy. Until we meet again. May everyone who loved and knew you, cherish the good memories, love, and laughs you shared with them. Peace. Tammy

Rob, I don´t think we´d seen each other since we were kids. I barely remember you and your sisters (although Roni (or Renee) and I are closer in age). Nonetheless...your passing is tragic. Our families were close in the early years until our parents all moved in different directions. RIP my cousin. You will be missed.
