Robert Boyens, of Viera, FL passed away peacefully on November 7, 2016. He was 85 years old. Bob was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY to his parents Esther and Clarence.

Bob was active in sports and after graduation, joined the US Marine Corp. Deployed in the Korean War, with the 1st Marine Division landing at Ichon. Bob was wounded twice in action. He served his Country with great honor, awarded two purple hearts and a bronze star with valor.

Bob returned to Brooklyn where he married Elizabeth Colquhoun in 1953. His marketing and sales representative career took he, wife Betty and family to many states; Virginia, Ohio, Illinois, California, and to Florida. Bob traveled worldwide, retired with Harris Corporation.

Bob is survived by his wife, Rosann Sardineer, who he met January 2004. They shared a common love of sports, traveling, fine cuisine and life. Bob and Rosann were married in 2008 at Callaway Gardens, GA. Rosann's daughter, Trish and husband Don Flammio, presented them with granddaughter Sophia, and they became her doting grandparents.

Bob was loyal, devoted, with an adventurous spirit, quick sense of humor and willingness to speak his mind. Bob is survived by brother, Dick and wife Curly Boyens, of Atlanta, GA and nieces and nephews.
