Robert C. "Brad" Bradbury, Jr., age 74, a longtime resident of Braintree, died peacefully, Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham, surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born in Quincy, raised and educated in Braintree. He was a graduate of Braintree High School, Class of 1967. He was also a graduate of Eastern Nazarene College in 1971 and later received his Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton.

He had served as a minister and pastor in various greater Boston churches for many years, most recently as associate pastor of the First Church in Weymouth. He was genuinely interested in everyone and loved his ministry of caring for others.

As a child and adolescent, he grew up in the faith community of the Fort Square Presbyterian Church in Quincy where he maintained many lasting friendships.

Brad also worked in healthcare as a phlebotomist at several hospitals.

Brad was an exceptionally loving, devoted, and compassionate human being to all he crossed paths with. He was a man of great kindness and character. Brad was a lover of history and took great pride in maintaining his immaculate home and beautiful yard. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends.

Beloved son of the late Ruth J. (MacBeth) Bradbury.

Devoted brother of Donna Ross and her husband Peter of Norton, Dayna L. Scribi and her husband Michael of Hanover, and the late Graham Bradbury and his surviving wife Ginni of Escondido, Calif.

Robert is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and their families.

Memorial Visiting Hours will be held at the Sweeney Brothers Home for Funerals, 1 Independence Avenue, Quincy, on Monday, October 23, from 4 - 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
