It is with great sadness that I am writing this entry. I am not sure but this is a unique story. Today, 12/11/08 I attended my Dentist in Valencia Ca. for a new crown and later gave thought to a great man I worked with in the Phillippines while I was in the Navy. I was his chair side assistant for 2 years (1970-71) I am now 60 years old and he put two crowns on my front teeth. He said "Ron, these two crowns will last you a life time and the margins are cut so deep that as you get older and your gumbs recede they will never reveal the separation." Today, I still have those two great caps on my front teeth and as he stated they are as he said they would be. today I thought I would try and see by chance if I could locate him. His Commanding officer was Dr O H Thetford DDS. If this entry finds it that I located Dr Brandt whom I worked with, I extend my sympathy in your time of loss and sorrow. If not be comforted that another great Dr Robert Brandt provided such great care and service to his nation and the public. I extend my sympathy to the family and I believe I might have a picture of Dr Brandt in the Phillippines. With Warmest Regards Ron

Dear Pat and all the wonderful Brandts,
I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Bob's death. It is hard not to smile when I am writing this because he made us all laugh so hard. Not too many people have his quick wit and sense of humor. I have fond memories of our neighborhood parties and time spent in your yard. He also contributed to my college fund and experiences by giving me a work oppurtunity many years ago in his dentist office--believe me he had his work cut out for him!
You all have been such wonderful friends to my family. We have been fortunate to know him!
My prayers are with you during this difficult time!

Dear Pat and Family:
My sincere sympathy, love and prayers on the loss of dearly loved,
Bob. My heart has felt the deep loss
of a special friend since I heard of his death. I know he was greeted
by the Angels and Martyrs and led to His new home in Jerusalem. He was welcomed with much glory and love by God and all his family in heaven.
His love, his sense of humor, his
friendship, his faith, love of God
and especially you Pat, and all his children was always evident.
He fought the good fight and he showed all of us how to live life.
I will miss him very much, but his love continues on in you and his family. I am present for you now, and in the days to come always.
My love and prayers. Roseann
