ROBERT L.
Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday May 3, 2016. Age 97, of Greenfield. Beloved husband of the late May C. (Ambler) Brethauer; loving father of Carol (Art) Palmieri and the late Clyde L. (surviving wife, Joan) Brethauer; loving grandfather of Robert and Dominic Palmieri, Tracy Michaels, Kim Petho, Robert Loughridge, Donna Neely, Sharon Coyne and the late Robert Brethauer and Thomas Loughridge; brother of the late Charles and Albert Brethauer, and Ethel Toner. Also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the EDWARD P. KANAI FUNERAL HOME, 500 Greenfield Ave. where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment with full military honors will follow in Homewood Cemetery.

I tell people all the time about what a very full life he lived, his resilience having seen war and being with out his wife for many many years. He was an outstanding man and why can't we find people like him anymore.

Can any one find a picture of him and Peppy? Am I the only great grandkid that remembers Peppy? He's the only Bike guy I know that could effectively sport a poodle. I perhaps get the dog at my side thing from him :)

My husband,Rich Klinger,worked with Bob at the Harley Shop and we went to visit him many times.He was a wonderful man and we sent notes in Christmas cards for years.Sorry for your loss!!
