Robert BRITTON Obituary
Peacefully, on March 25, 2017 at the age of 90, with his loving family by his side. Reunited with his beloved wife Pat (2017). Dear father of Bonnie (Fred Teno), Russell, Deborah Donaldson (Ron), Catherine, Bill (Linda Bianchi), Barbara (the late Darren Glass, 2013). Cherished grandfather of Jeffrey, Jason, Melanie, Ryan, Erin, Holly, Andy and Graham. Great-grandfather of 4: Ella, Hunter, Chase and Sawyer. Dear brother of John and Arlene Britton. Brother-in-law of the late Warren Tobin (1981) and Jerome Tobin (2009). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Former trustee of Riverside Separate School and F.J. Brennan High School Boards. Former member and instructor of the Lumen Institute (The Christopher Leadership Course), former member of Ste. Rose Parish Council, member and former Director of Beach Grove G. & C.C. Member of the Executive Committee of Assumption University Alumni Association, President of the Probus Club of Windsor- Essex Ontario, Alumnus of Assumption College (B.A. 1946) and University of Detroit Mercy (B. M.E. 1949). Recipient of Rev. E.C. LeBel C.S.B. Award from Assumption University on May 13, 2011. Employed by The Detroit Edison Co. (now DTE Energy) May 1947 – January 1989. Bob enjoyed golf, curling, playing bridge and gin rummy. If you so desire, donations to Alzheimer Society of Windsor & Essex County or Hospice Residential Homes would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the nurses and caregivers at The Village of Aspen Lake for their loving care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Visitation Tuesday, 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at

Bill and Family,
I have fond memories of your dad's surprise visits to me at work when he was here visiting family. Every year the same time he would show up at the front door in Manhattan Beach and ask for me. We would talk golf and ask about the family. It was such a pleasant surprise that he would take the time to do that. What a wonderful gesture! I know how much my dad liked and respected your father and I can see them playing golf together again. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and family at this time.
