Thank your for your letter, even if it came with sad news. I share your gratefulness to have known the kind person my "Uncle Robert" was. I have known him for 65 years and will always have fond memories. When I was in Calgary in July he and I talked on the phone for the last time.
I wish you and your whole family special blessings for the new year - the first one without Opa. And I hope you and I will meet again sooner och later- you're always welcome at my place. Many regards from Andrea - I'm visiting her for the holidays. Yours Lore

We are very saddened by the news of the passing of Mr. Robert Brommer who we had the luck to meet and get to know. I wished we did have more time to spend with a man who was always very kind and thoughtful.
Please accept our condolences for this terrible loss your family has suffered.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr Brommer passing away. I just happen to catch his picture in the newspaper. It seems like yesterday although it was many years ago when I first came to Canada to live in the apartment on 2nd floor of The Wagon Wheel Place on East 16th. I spent 13 happy years there, got married there. I was there when you and Diane got married and when the twins arrived and what a joy for everyone. Mr. and Mrs Brommer were the best landlords anyone could have.I sent them and you on many trips Hawaii, Vegas, Mexico, Alaska etc.We then lost touch, the twins grew up and we grew older. I have since re-married, hence the Last name Zubor, moved to White Rock, but I am still in travel now working in New West At Maritime Travel in The Royal City center.Your Dad will be greatly missed as he was truely a very caring and generous man. My sympaty and condolences go out to you and the family
