Our family knew the Brown family. We were altar boys at St Patrick's in East Hampton. Mgr. Brown's uncle was a very wonderful man and Principle of E, Hampton H S. Andrew Vincent David Ferrigno was that Principle, a very devote Roman Catholic.
Mgr, Brown was destined to become one of the finest priests in the church because of his family.

I was shocked to find out today that beloved Msgr. Robert Brown passed away in November.when reading the Catholic paper. He was always so kind and helpful. I've been attending the Secretaries Mass every year and he would be there kindly guiding the procession of Rose Bearers to give to Bishop Cote. I offer my deepest sympathy to his family and friends, brother priests, bishops, deacons & all who loved him. He was easy to love because of his friendliness, caring, and goodness. I will miss so much seeing him at our next Secretaries Mass. It won't be the same without him. I am sure he is in God's arms who called him a good and faithful servant. Thank you Msgr. Brown for being a light in my life and so many other lives. Rest In Peace, Msgr. Brown.

Monsignor Brown was the best! As a convert many years ago, I was blest to be able to sit and talk with him, and have time to ask questions and understand the Church better. He never made me feel that he had to hurry somewhere else. I counted him a friend. He is in heaven, helping out, I am sure.

A thoughtful and wonderful counselor, loving all participants in a difficult dispute many years ago. But that was his nature, and hope did prevail. May he rest in peace with God.

Monsignor Brown was a very kind and loving man. I was very fortunate to him spend his free time guiding me through the RCIA program and officiate my wedding. I will never forget you and may you rest in peace.

Monsignor Brown was one of the greatest priests in the 60-plus year history of the Norwich Diocese. He exemplified, in the fullest meaning of that word, the type of priest Jesus envisioned when He established the priesthood in His church. Those who knew Msgr. Brown, or who encountered him in his wide-ranging service, were blessed by his zeal, dedication, kindness and unbounded spirituality.

May God bless Monsignor Brown for his service and dedication to all of the people of the Diocese of Norwich.

Monsignor Brown will be missed beyond belief. He was a true servant priest, gentleman always, an example of Mercy and Charity, a friend. He will be our "go to man" in Heaven as he was here. God's speed, Monsignor.

Msgr. Brown was the best kind of priest, who made you feel as if running into you was the best thing that had happened to him all day. In radiating God's love and welcome to those he met, he embodied the Christ he made present to us on the altar. Sending prayers for his eternal rest and for comfort for his family.

Monsignor Brown has been there for our family for over 40 years- to celebrate our greatest joy and to console us in our times of grief and sadness. He made everything better just through his presence. He was a truly special person who could never be replaced. We are so blessed to have known him.
