I was very sorry to hear of Dr. Buckingham's passing. He was the kind of doctor not often found and which all should emulate. He truly conveyed the spirit of compassionate caring and exemplary service. I will never find another physician of his great intellect and empathy. He will most truly be missed by all, family, friend, colleague and patient. My condolences to his family, staff and patients.

Just this morning I called to make my follow up appointment with the greatest doctor who has ever walked this earth. I was shocked to find out that he is now "walking streets of gold". He was the most thoughtful, caring doctor a patient could find.
He will be greatly missed. Until we meet again someday, Dr. Buckingham. Thank you for your care and compassion.

I was a patient of Dr. Buckingham for several years. I have never met a physican with such caring and compassion for his patients, he came from his heart in all interactions. He will truly be missed and I will miss our discussions related to healing and living fully and with joy. My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to his family, co-workers and friends. Namaste.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bev's death. We were classmates at U.T. Medical School and shared a real friendship in those school years. I well remember his friendly smile and courteous manner. My heart goes out to his family and especially to his sister, Blanche, who remains very special to me.

I am saddened to hear of Dr. Buckingham's death. I remember him teaching me how to cook toast in the skillet--with butter, of course. I was 4 at the time and he was 9. His sister, Blanche, and I were great friends and Bev, though older, would help take care of us. Becoming a physician, I realized how much he contributed to our profession and am grateful to have known him.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear that Dr. Buckingham had died. I have been a patient of his for over 20 years and had just been to see him in October. He was an excellent doctor. He had a combination of qualities that made him special - compassion, technical expertise and a genuine desire to help people. I send my condolences to his family. He will be missed.

Having just seen Bev at the ACR meeting in Washington, I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of his death. I met Bev during my training at Pitt. He was an excellent teacher and clinician. In later years, we enjoyed catching up about work and family whenever we met at meetings. His death is a great loss to the Pittsburgh medical community. My thoughts go out to Ann and his children.

We wish to express our sincere condolences to Dr. Buckingham's family.
We have been patients of his for over 20 years and no physician has cared more for his patients. Hopefully it gives you solace to know that he is now with the Good Lord after leading an explemplary life.

Dr. Buckingham trained many Internal Medicine residents during his tenure at West Penn Hospital. His love of medicine and his passion for teaching far exceeded expectations of the many physicians he trained. He was an excellent role model and played an integral part in shaping many career plans for our resident trainees. He was an excellent Rheumatologist and provided the best care for his patients. Such generosity never goes unnoticed.
You have our deepest sympathy,
