Robert Camillo Guastucci Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 30, 2024.
Robert Camillo Guastucci was surrounded by his loving family when he was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, to join his son, Robbie, and those that passed before him, at the age of 82. He was born in 1941 to Eugenia and Camillo Guastucci, who immigrated separately from Italy in the 1920's, met in San Francisco within their Italian community, and shortly thereafter were married at St. Peter and Paul Church in SF.

Robert and his older brother Remo (dec. 1993), were raised in San Francisco, alongside their cousins and Uncle Joe and Aunt Tisbe "Mama" Bertolucci, who owned and ran their family restaurant "Bertolucci's" in South San Francisco. Robert attended San Francisco schools, including Balboa High, until they moved to Millbrae, where he graduated from Capuchino High in 1959. As a young boy, Robert (Bobby) also enjoyed spending summers at his beloved Uncle Marino's cabin in Russian River.

In 1960, he met and married Susan Kuchlenz of Millbrae and they went on to raise their six children in San Bruno and Millbrae for the next 23 years. Robert was a beloved father to his daughters, Laura, Dana and Jennifer, and his sons, Robbie (dec.1962), Adam and Jason, as well as Kristine Ferrari, who was like a daughter to him. He is a beloved grandfather to Brett, Jacob, Chase, Luca, Harley, Georgia and Dante, and father-in-law to Deja Guastucci (dec. 2022), Tony Debok, Patrick Stallone and Bill Calkins. His direct extended family includes his brother Remo's children, Steven, Robert and Carolena (dec. 2015), his beloved cousin Lola Bertolucci-Fox's sons, Mark, Dennis and Gary, among many other aunts, uncles and cousins in the U.S. and Italy.

Robert proudly served in the US Navy aboard the USS Platte until 1964. He then went on to work as a distributor for Granny Goose in the 1960's, and in the 70's moved on to start a career in real estate where he fell in love with the art of the sale. Robert began his new career working for Ed Rogers Realty and then Mueller Estates, where he met his best friend, love and life partner of over 30 years, Donna Sfarzo. After two decades in the industry, he established his own brokerage, United Estates Realty. Robert took great pride in going above and beyond for each of his clients and also became an established real estate investor, managing his rental properties and renovating his homes. He loved all aspects of the industry, especially enjoying a close rapport with his clients.

His family will miss him greatly, especially his love, Donna, who loved and cared for him deeply until his passing.

Services will be held on Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, at 11am, St. Dunstan's Church, 1133 Broadway, Millbrae. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Millbrae Rec Center, Great Hall North Room, 477 Lincoln Circle, Millbrae.
