Robert "Bob" Candido

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Candido on November 6, 2022, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Robert is survived by his loving wife Maria Rosa (nee Capostagno). He is pre-deceased by his parents, father Eugenio and mother Maria. He is survived by his mother-in-law Margharita (the late Calorgero), brothers-in-law Salvador (Alda), Joseph (Susan), nieces and nephews; Andrea (Nicholas), Jennifer (Brandon), and Carlo (Brittany). Robert is loved by grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins in Canada, Italy, and Argentina. He will be forever loved by special Godchildren.
Robert was a pharmacist (BSCPhm) who practiced in the Niagara and Hamilton region, until his retirement. He was very proud of his Canadian- Italian heritage, so he became a long-standing member of multiple clubs in his communities, such as the Fogolar Furlan Niagra, Famee Furlane of Hamilton, the Hamilton Rotary Club, as well as the Niagara and Hamilton Knights of Columbus.
Robert chose to spend his spare time reading books and newspaper that he could learn new things from, as his search for knowledge never ceased. Robert chose the Toronto Maples Leaf's as his favourite team in the NHL. As well as the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL, and the Toronto Blue Jays in the MLB. His most recent venture was attending a Blue Bombers game his favourite team.

A public memorial visitation will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home located on 947 Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Wednesday November 9th, from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church, 20 Idlewood Ave., Hamilton, Thursday, November 10th at 11 a.m.
