Robert Lee Carlson

Dear Betty: I was a student & later a colleague of Bob in AE at GA Tech. Perhaps you may remember me & my wife Evelyne who you had invited for a dinner in honor of our mutual friend George Simitses who was leaving for U. of Cincinnati. We have very fond memories of Bob as an excellent Professor and a colleague. He was always very humble for a man of great intellect & experience. We will miss him very dearly. Please accept our most heartfelt condolences.

Mrs. Carlson and family,
I am deeply saddened by Dr. Carlson's death. He was a wonderful professor and person who taught me so much more than engineering. I will always think fondly of him. Know that he touched many lives for the better and I am who I am today because of him.

Aunt Betty and my Carlson cousins: I feel privileged to have intersected your lives at numerous points over the years - from ring bearer at the wedding in 1950 to this bittersweet ceremony 66 years later. Uncle Bob was a wonderful man.
