Robert Joseph Chaisson

QUINCY – Robert Joseph Chaisson, 67, passed on 1/15/2026. He was born and raised in Hyde Park to the late John Joseph and Martha L. (Trayers) Chaisson. He was predeceased by his son, Robert and grandson, Nikolas Casna. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Chaisson and grandson, Michael Casna of Holbrook, MA; his five younger siblings, David of Rehoboth, MA, Deborah (Martin) of Knoxville, TN, Linda (Bekerian) of Weymouth, MA, Susan (Lamb) of Upton, MA, and Michael of Hobe Sound, FL; and his ex-wife and dear friend Cathy (Hunt) of Holbrook.

Bob was a devoted father and grandfather. He graduated from Hyde Park High School and worked for many years as a computer engineer at Microsoft. In his retirement, Bob drove a taxi and became friends with many that he served. He had several lifelong friends including his brother, Dave, Pastor Dennis, Paul Marchisio, Keith Kuegel and Bill Fruzzetti.

Bob had many hobbies and loved to share his knowledge with others. He was an artist who taught at the Randolph Council of Aging. His artwork was displayed in an exhibit at the Holbrook Public Library to commemorate his late son, Bobby. He was a firearms instructor and held a second degree brown belt in Karate/Uechi Ryu.

Bob's intelligence, compassion, generosity, and sense of humor will be greatly missed. His love of family and friends will live on.
