Mr. Colley was a champion of arts and culture in both established and experimental media. He was a friend of Second Life writers, builders and creators. His influence was a guiding force for many. His openness, curiosity, talent and discernment will always be remembered. May his memory be a blessing to all lucky enough to have crossed his path.

I remember Bob from my years at SU 1985-1988. The best adjective to describe Bob was authentic. He was a real guy with thoughtful opinions. He will be missed.

Hi Bob, we greatly enjoyed knowing you at Hamilton College and almost being brothers. You are one of few. RIP.

I met Bob in 1978 when I attended SU for a Master“s program. He was an incredible mentor who helped me hone my writing skill that led me to eventually turn in a thesis. He had a great ability to bring people together. When I moved back to home in NYC, he put me in touch with Iona Water, who became a lifelong friend. He had encyclopaedic knowledge of music, literature and all things cultural. He was so important to my growth and development. RIP Bob and thank you for your generous spirit.

I remember Bob as my freshman English professor at OCC in 1971. He came rushing into the room to introduce himself. He had on beautiful jeans with a side split and red scarlet insert. His hair was long to his shoulders. We were in awe. It was the time of the Allman Brothers and Duane Allman.

He was a wonderful teacher. He assigned short stories. I remember Flannery O'Connor and "Everything That Rises Must Converge."
He also had us write a short story. It was a great class and intro to college.

He was a true liberal of his age. Thank you, Bob.
