Robert Corp Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 27, 2024.
Robert Alan Corp, known affectionally as Bob, passed away on June 24, 2024, in Fernandina Beach, Florida, at the age of 86. Born on March 19, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, Bob dedicated his life to his family and his career in the telecommunications industry. He was a lifelong Christian and had a strong belief and close relationship to God.

Bob met his beloved wife, Linda, during his teenage years, and the couple married on September 6, 1958. Their enduring partnership was blessed with six children, fourteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a fourth great-grandchild on the way. Bob was a devoted family man, known for his hard work and dedication throughout his career with a telephone company, where he worked until his retirement. He had an incredible sense of humor and loved all jokes, even the corniest of them . Everyone he met he greeted enthusiastically and his jovial outlook on life will be sorely missed by all. Bob savored the good things in life like a good bbq, Italian sub, cookies and fruit . Most of all he enjoyed people and always saw the good in them.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Linda, their children, and their spouses: daughters Lisa Ciccone (Vinnie), Laura Workman (Kevin), Tami Ehlebracht, Natalie Corp (Jennifer), Danielle Corp, and son Robert A. Corp Jr. (Nicole). Bob also leaves behind three adopted daughters who are current caregivers for his wife: Jackie, Dawn, and Yderle.

Bob was an active member of the Fernandina Beach Caregiver Support Group, where he found solace and companionship. His commitment to the community and his family's well-being was evident in everything he did.

A memorial service will be held in the coming months to honor Bob's life and legacy. Eternity Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Florida, is assisting the family during this time. Bob's memory will be cherished by all who knew him as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

I´m Randy Shumaker and my wife Bonnie.
We met Bob and Linda when we bought our
home on Green Acres Rd in Blairsville Ga
One of my favorite memories of Bob is when ever he heard me fire up the saw to build something he would come up to check on. I remember when I built my first
shed, he would come up to see if I was ok.
I think his he was checking me out to see if
I was doing it right. I would always stop to talk and asked for opinions. Enjoyed talking to him and learned a lot. I remembered after finishing the shed, I came home from work and found and nice sign in it that said Randy´s Man Cave. I tough my wife had it made. Be after thinking about it, I knew it was Bob who made it. That is who Bob was.
I will always remember him and Linda for the times we shared with them.
Bob l know you are in heaven and I will see you again. We are praying for Linda and the family.

I had the pleasure of knowing Bob for over 20 years and always remember him with a smile on his face and delicious treats that he baked. One of my favorite memories was Christmas 2023 where we did cheers with Slivovice. This was very heartwarming. Visiting with his daughter Nat and (Jenn) for the holidays and spending time with him was something I looked forward to. He will be missed
