Robert Cowie Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert (Rob) Cowie a wonderful son, father, brother and uncle, Rob passed away unexpectedly at his home in New Jersey September 1st , 2016 at the age of 54.
Rob is survived by his two sons, Christopher and Nicholas Cowie, parents, Marlene and Bruce Cowie, his sister Caron (John Fram), his brother Cam (Kathy) and six nieces/nephews, Justin and Macinly Fram and Caylin, Kelsey, Mitchell and Matthew Cowie, who adored their (Uncle Bobby).
Rob was born to loving parents Bruce and Marlene Cowie on January 19th, 1962 in Regina Saskatchewan. After attending high school at Campbell Collegiate in Regina, Rob went on to receive his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Rob had a passion and talent for football, a quarterback for the Tartans in High School he played defensive back for the U of S Huskies in Saskatoon.
Upon completion of his education Rob began his career with the Saskatchewan Agricultural Development Corporation trading Saskatchewan products around the world. From there he moved to Los Angeles and worked with Hugh Wallis Sales and TeleRep before starting his own company, RNC Media Sales in New York. It was in New York where the two most treasured loves of his life were born a devoted father he loved his boys Christopher and Nicholas to the moon and back.
A visitation and Memorial Service for Rob will be held on September 30, 2016 4:00 - 6:00pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home - 2028 NJ-35, Wall Township, NJ.
Condolences are graciously accepted and can be sent to the Book of Memories, on line tribute www.obrienfuneralhome.com in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the US or Canadian Heart Foundations. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dave and Toni Suckey for their love and support provided to Rob over the years
A Calgary service and celebration of life will be held Saturday October 15, 2016 2:00pm - 4:00pm at the Glencoe Golf and Country Club.

My sincere sympathy to the Cowie family...the parents, & Cam & Caron. I well recall the Cowie children when I was a teacher at Massey School in 1969. Cam was in my grade five class and I soon got to know the other two Cowie children who were delightful outgoing kids.
