Robert David Davies

Fort Myers Beach - Robert David Davies III, 86, passed away on August 28, 2025, in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. Born on November 26, 1938, in New Haven, Connecticut, he lived a full and dynamic life marked by dedication to family, service to his country, entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for music. Bob served his country in the United States Navy. After his military service, he built a successful printing business, Business Forms East. Later in life, at the age of 62, Bob took up the bagpipes-a pursuit that became a defining part of his life. He was an active member of Lee County Pipes and Drums, and Guns N Hoses Pipes N Drums. Playing with these bands brought him joy and great friendships. Bob is survived by his beloved wife Marilyn Davies; his children Dawn Davies Rice (David) and David Davies (Shannon); grandchildren Jessica Garza-Rice (Alyssa), Shawn Rice, Piper Davies, Finn Davies, Tanner Trew, and Brody Trew; and great-grandchild Carter Garza-Rice. A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor Bob's life and legacy.
