Robert DeHoff Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 23, 2025.
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" DeHoff who went home to be with the Lord on Mar. 20, 2025. Bob was born in Youngstown, Ohio, Dec. 28, 1938, to the late William DeHoff and Dorothy Pontius. Bob was preceded in death by his brother, William DeHoff Jr., and sister-in-law, Sally DeHoff.

He spent his early years in Canfield, OH, and graduated from Youngstown State College in May 1962. Upon graduation, Bob was hired by Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI, where he dedicated 38 years of service in Budget and Finance.

Through his passion for NASCAR he met Annette on a blind date at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. They married in Aug. 1996. After retiring, Bob and Annette made their home in GA.

Bob was a devoted father to his children from his first marriage to Shirley Donaldson, who sadly passed Oct. 1983. They raised Troy (Deborah) DeHoff, Cheryl Borthwick, and Cyndi (Matt) Carstens. Bob also grieved the loss of his infant son, Jeffrey DeHoff. In addition, he embraced his role as a loving stepfather to Connie (Damon) Costner, Lowell (Becky) Powell, Jr. and the late Deborah Bachara and Wayne Powell, who preceded him in death. His legacy continues through his 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 2 nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on April 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Antioch Christian Church, 3595 Sugar Pike Road, Canton, GA 30115.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Antioch Christian Church Building Fund. Visit https://antiochcanton.org/online-giving. Please include "In Memory of Bob DeHoff" in the Note section.

Bob had a gentle and kind spirit sharing his warm, friendly smile with all who knew him. We take comfort in knowing he is now healed and in the presence of the Lord.
