Robert Paul Demorest

Stuart - Robert "Bo" Demorest, 72, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Ellen, and daughter, Elizabeth "Lizzy"; four siblings Susan Laraway of Stuart, FL, Joseph Demorest (Cathy), James Demorest (Laurie), and Jane Brooks; Ian Wilson (Autumn), and a myriad of nieces, grandnieces, nephews, and grandnephews in Michigan and Colorado. Bo was predeceased by his sister, Judy Sheller (Lynn), and recently by his brother-in-law and former business partner, Bruce Laraway.

Bo was born in Lansing, Michigan on June 4, 1952, to Elizabeth June (Slivensky) and Robert Joseph Demorest. He was active in sports, especially wrestling, baseball, and golf. After high school, he joined his sister Susan in Colorado Springs, CO, where he later formed a successful commercial contracting company with his brother-in-law, Bruce Laraway. In 1989 they moved to Stuart, FL and started Commercial Contracting Division. Later, after earning his General Contracting License, Bo went out on his own and started Demorest Construction Group. Many restaurants, doctors and dentist offices, car washes, and the like all over the Treasure Coast are results of his work.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, with Visitation starting at 1:00 PM and the Service beginning at 2:00 PM at the Stuart Chapel of Martin Funeral Home, located at 961 South Kanner Highway, Stuart, FL, 34994.
