Father HENRY SMOLINSKI
March 21, 2022
Though many remember Bob from his generous contribution to the life of his last parish family, I again gratefully remember Bob's abundant giving to the parish life of his earlier church: St.Justin's, on Blue Hills Ave. in Hartford during the 1960's thru thee 1980's. GOD continue to grant him unending happiness in heaven, and grant his wife and children and wider family comfort and peace. An old friend and pastor, Father Henry Smolinski

Dear Eileen, Robert, Susan and family,
It's been a long time since I was one of your parish priests at St.Justin's Church in Hartford. And our God wants us to look hopefully at the present and the future. But still I'm grateful to have known your husband and father in those years of 1974 to '84. I still have a snapshot of Bob and me putting new upholstering on the church kneelers back in '74. He was such a generous and jolly gentleman in our parish ! And he seemed to love the parish activities that helped to keep our school moving forward, like the Booster Club. We could count on him for many things, besides taking up the church collection at Mass. God reward him now with the fullness of life with Jesus in heaven for his faith that was so active in loving service of his wife, family, church and friends.
Please accept my sincere sympathy,Father Henry Smolinski, pastor, St.John the Baptist PNC Church

Dear Eileen and family,
How grateful I am to have known Bob and you all these last few years. I admired him and your entire family for the close and loving bond you all share. Bob seemed entirely worthy of the devotion you all showered on him and he responded with good humor and faith even in these last difficult months. His work ethic, pride in his service to our country, love for his family and respect shown to all others who came into his life is a grand legacy to leave behind. I look forward to having him greet me at the gates with his tails and top hat, and that wonderful smile. I am terribly sorry for your loss, but I know in my heart that he's already dancing!

Dear Eileen and Family: It has been over forty years since Bob and I worked our "second jobs" at Hartford Armored Car. He worked long hours and always maintained a great sense of humor . He took great joy in simple things and was totally committed to his family. May he rest in peace.
