DIONISE ROBERT VICTOR
79, of Chippewa Twp., passed away at his home on Monday, June 16, 2008. He was born on June 11, 1929, in Ambridge, PA, and was the son of the late Victor and Mary Nagy Dionise. He was a graduate of Ambridge High School in 1947, Robert Morris and Youngstown State University in 1976. Bob retired from Armco Steel Company, Ambridge Works, as the Senior Cost Accountant. He was a talented musician and at age twelve became a professional musician and joined the musician's union. He worked with the "Ray Baron Trio" and formed his own group known as the "Bob Donley and the Gramercy Four". Bob was a Staff Sergeant in the National Guard 28th Division during the Korean War. He was stationed in Germany between the years of 1950-1952 and pursued his musical background by forming a band touring with the USO, entertaining the troops. He was past president of the Armco Federal Credit Union, a charter member and past president of the Institute of Management Accountants, Beaver Valley Chapter, where he had a published manuscript entitled "Differential Cost Concept". Bob was also an accomplished artist focusing his works in oils and water colors. Many of his paintings have been shown in various local art shows and are now hanging in the homes of family and friends. He and his wife, Martha, were also involved in the local racing circuit through the ownership of their Sprint race car - "Purple #15". In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by a brother Donald A. Dionise, grandparents Katherine and Alexander Nagy and Charles and Anna Dionise, a mother-in-law and father-in-law Mable Eckman Ridings and John William Ridings, a brother-in-law Frank A. Coleman and a nephew, Dennis Wallace. Bob is survived by his wife of 52 years, Martha Ridings Dionise; a brother and sister-in-law Thomas and Margie Dionise; three sisters-in-law: Sarah Arthurs Dionise, Helen Ridings Coleman and Mable "Boots" Ridings Wallace and a brother-in-law and his wife: John Richard and Mazie Ridings. Also surviving are the following nieces and nephews: Tom and Jim Dionise, Susan Dionise Stanek, Steve Small and John Dionise, Terri Coleman Hufnagel and Lorri Coleman Quiambao, Penne and Wendy Wallace, and John Wesley Ridings. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 8 pm in the LUTTON CHIPPEWA FUNERAL HOME, 117 Blackhawk Road, www.luttonfuneralhome.com, where funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 10:30 am with Rev. Lee Bittner, chaplain of the Heritage Valley Health System, officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Memorial contribution be made, if you so desire, to the Beaver County Humane Society, PO Box 63, Monaca, Pa 15061. The family would like to thank Three River's Hospice and Family Home Health for their loving care.
