When I think back over the years and my contact with your dad, I think of three traits: kindness, genuine listening and a warm smile.

May your abundant memories of all his gracious qualities sustain you, as well as the knowledge that many have you in their thoughts, hearts, and prayers.

Dear Aunt Ann, I remember a long time ago being the other R. Downing in Lexington and getting calls from Uncle Bob telling me my friends were looking for me. He never minded playing operator for me and I'll always remember his kind smile and his pleasant words. I miss him greatly already. Love Robin
