My condolences to the family members of Mr. Dwyer. There are alot of them and through his daughter, Eileen, who I worked with for many years, I have been able to meet alot of them! I met Mr. Dwyer at the old Sunday night sing-alongs at Derry's Pub. Even though he was not officially in charge, he WAS in charge. I will remember him fondly whenevery I hear "The Parting Glass". I have so many fond memories of growing up as a part of the extended Dwyer clan.
Helping with Bob's political campaigns influenced my love of politics. Having those wonderful "Catholics v.s. Lutherans" debates and watching a living faith played out in everday life. He was a man of great integrity, who made a profound impact on all of our lives. I know that Mary Jo, Mike, Eileen, Bobby, Patty and Monica will carry on his legacy through their children and grandchildren.

Uncle Bob was a formidable man. When placed in a impossible situation, he was ultimately responsible for making decisions that would set the course for the rest of the lives for both myself and my siblings. Not many men would accept that type of resposibility. Uncle Bob was a man who lived by his convictions- which few people do today.
I know that he is watching us from heaven with a drink in his hand, and singing Danny Boy and thinking about his next round of golf.

Uncle Bob was his own man. I remember going door to door hanging flyers for his election campaign when I was a little girl. I thought it was neat that my Uncle was so important. I remember him singing, and I remember him rushing off from the cottage to go golfing. He always seemed to be smiling.
I imagine him in heaven with his brother and sisters and Aunt Jane playing cards and having a cocktail. God may be asking them all to keep it down.

I will always remember Mr. Dwyer and Jane and how good they were to all my sister's and I. We had a blast at the Dwyers, where I was introduced to "The Nancy Drew Mysteries" which I now have purchased for my grandchildren.To all the Dwyer kids, Maryjo, Mike, Eileen, Bob,Patty and Monica...I am so sorry. I remember fondly my days visiting the Dwyer home while in grade school and high school. The singing was great (particularly the Irish ballads) and the conversation was always interesting and thought provoking. Bob and Jane were great to all of their extended family - which consisted of any and all guests. My condolences and regards to Mary Jo, Mike, Eileen, Bob, patty, and Monica.

Uncle Bob was a gentleman of the highest order. Those memories at the cottage have guided me through many difficulties of life, but have also brought random and mysterious smiles. The Dwyer family set the stage and Uncle Bob conducted. God Bless the entire family during this time.

Goodbye Uncle Bob! You truly were one of a kind. One of those guys that seemed would always be here. I have so many happy memories of my childhood involving your home and the cottage and singing and laughing. As a matter of fact MOST of my happy memories involve you or your family in some way. You did a great job with your progeny and you should be very proud. They have remained a strong family to this day and that is because of your guidance and faith. They learned how to agree to disagree. They learned how to love and to help each other in times of need. They learned a love of the Lord. And they are passing it on to their own children and their grandchildren, and that's because of how you and Aunt Jane loved and supported them.

Now you there are more of you in the arms of Jesus than are left here -- and I bet heaven is a pretty fun place. Thanks for all you have been and all you have left behind.

What a wonderful man and a wonderful family. Always a gracious host whether at his house by marquette high school or the cottage. My best memories of mr dwyer would be a cocktail in hand and telling me I dont know what I am talking about. He was right in most areas except when it came to the wisconsin,marquette rivalry. I dont think I ever convinced him wisconsin was a better basketball team than marquette. He will be dearly missed
