Robert Ediger

Ediger, Robert It is with deep sadness to announce the passing of our loving Father, Grandfather, and good friend Robert (Bob) Ediger at the age of 77 after a brave battle with cancer on the morning of September 06th at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. Bob moved to Saskatoon from Guernsey SK and worked for Waterman Waterbury for a number of years. He also worked for the CP rail as a fireman. Before getting accepted to the Saskatoon Fire Department where he worked for 32 years retiring at the rank of Captain. Bob was involved with the Saskatoon EMO as a hamm operator. He was strongly involved with starting the first motorcycle chapter of the RedKnights in Saskatchewan and was the first president of the club. Along with riding motorcycles he also enjoyed fishing with friends and family. After retiring Bob along with his wife Gerri purchased an RV and enjoyed spending summers following The Toronto Blue Jays all over Canada and the States. Bob is survived by his four loving children Don of Saskatoon (Riley, Krista), Sherry (Del) Shanofer of Saskatoon (Garion, Aubrey), Murray (Brenda) Ediger of Lacombe AB (Christy, April, Ashley, Conner) Cindy (Kerry) Griffiths of Clavet SK, (Matthew, Jazzmin); Great grandchildren Piper, Noah, Sara, Emma, and Parker. Brother Grant, numerous nieces and nephews. Bob is predeceased by his wife Gerri, sisters Frances Dillabaugh and Constance Reike. A Graveside Service will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Saskatoon on Friday September 09, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Arrangements entrusted to MARTENS WARMAN FUNERAL HOME (934-4888).
