I knew and worked with Bobby in northeast Arkansas, during the early to mid-2000's, just a few years before his passing.

He was such an entertaining guy to be around. I still remember the day I brought my parents' old copy of Merle's "The Fightin' Side of Me". I can't fully express as to how excited he was. He spent a lot of time running around the factory floor that evening. He loved showing naysayers that he wasn't just a guy with tall tales. He had lived it!

I spent a good amount of time with Bobby listening to stories or having him sing songs for me. You don't get opportunities like that very often in one's life. And, boy, did he have some stories! Hahaha.

Here's to you, Bobby. I just wish you could sing "Misery and Gin" for me one more time. I know it's been a while, but Godspeed.

What a personality! Whether he was singing, picking, or telling stories of his past, he was such a pleasure to be around. We treasure the tapes and pics we have taken at our house, some dating back to 1993. We're so thankful our children and grandchildren had the chance to know Bobby and Mimi. He will be missed and REPEAT PREFORMANCE is still "our song"

I am so blessed with great memories and music from Bobby. We had so many great conversations and I cherish each one. He was always happy to visit and I felt so honored that he made the time for me and helped me with my music. To Robin, Mimi, may God Bless you and your family and I pray He will bring you closer together. We have to cherish each day we have . I know Bobby is smiling down on us always. I will always sing "Harold's Super Service" and remember him. Somehow I can picture him coming up through the clouds to the Pearly Gates in that Model A !

I would love to share a story...My parents at one time would go See Bobby from time to time at local clubs in Fort Worth. We shared the same Birthday December 11th so on one of my birthdays he was playing and in between sets my dad told him that day was my birthday also, Bobby signed a picture just for me and then told my mom and dad to call the house the whole club sang Happy Birthday to me. I was very excited because I was only 5. That was one of the best Birthday's of my life...I still have the photo and showed my children and told them the story. He will be greatly missed in my house because he was special to me and also we shared the same Birthday!

Bobby went to Heaven on a pair of silver wings, a guitar on his shoulder, a song on his lips, and our hearts in his hand.

Bobby, you will always be in our hearts, on our mind and loved deeply in our souls. We helped each other through tough times and during the good ones, we just enjoyed the moment. Thanks a million for the song you wrote for us..."THANK YOU FOR LOVING MY FRIEND" holds a lot of meaning between the three of us.

We love you,
