When Rob was living in SDafter he moved back
Around 90-91
I had moved back to LA to help out my family after a fire. On wknd I decided to go visit my friend Rob. Lots of beers and guitar playing. Well, we ran out of beer and low on funds so we decided to go down to mission beach and Busk. We played 3 songs. We made enough money for beer and fish tacos. I later moved up to mammoth and I would visit him in Cardiff during the San Diego Ski Shows. I met Windy( this was the tshirt days)
This past January we chatted off and on about guitar gear
Surfing
Ect.
He invited me up to Montana to do some recording
The plan was to do it this fall.
It´s weird some of the best friends you don´t always talk to or see on a regular basis. But you know they are there. Rob was that to me.
I just found out about his passing 4 days ago. I am grief counseling now. This really hit hard.
I will pray for his family.

I feel much sadness in learning the passing of my friend Rob Esperti. Met him as a teaching colleague in San Diego, CA.
Rob was such a GENEROUS person of courage and strength, brightened up the campus everyday he was on site at the Art Institute of California San Diego. Was an exceptional instructor. He was skilled and passionate about everything he applied himself at. Windy and kids and Esperti family, will be praying for some peace for your hearts in this difficult time. Much love, Jacquelin Leahy
