February 25, 1949 - May 24, 2012
Bob, late of Regina, SK, passed away, with family at his side, on Thursday May 24, 2012. He is pre-deceased by his parents Andrew and Madeline Exner; sister Betty Bast; brother -in -law Gerry Gottinger; and Father - in - law Michael Senger. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 31 years, Donelda; his two children Richard (Jessica) and Tina. Bob also leaves behind his three adored grandchildren Curtis, Jacob and Alexis. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings George (Yvonne), Rose, Ed, Len (Mary Ann), Fred (Donalda), Ernie, Jerry (Wendy) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 10:30 AM at St. Cecilia RC Church, 5020 7th Ave., Regina, SK, Rev. John Weckend, celebrant. Flowers gratefully declined. Our Heartfelt Sympathy on the passing of Bob. Although we didn't know your family really well we do go back at least twenty five years. From the very first soccer games in Dieppe Place to the refinery soccer which Richard, Bob and our families enjoyed immensely. Although things will never be quite the same without Bob to share those life milestones, we hope your memories will last and help to heal. Thinking of you and hope to see you folks in Dieppe sometime and or Richard at work.

Our deepest sympathy to Donelda, Ernie and family. Bob touched our hearts in the paddling community with his energy and love of marathon canoeing and dragon boating. He was a great steersperson and energetic paddler. It was his initiative that founded the Regina Marathon Canoe Club and he was always willing to time or marshall the races. We will miss him and our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Dear Len, Ernie and Exner family,
I was very saddened to hear about Bob's passing and I have paddled with Bob in the past. I saw him last year at the festival and had a brief chat. Everytime I saw him, he was smiling and his photo in the paper is exactly how I will remember him - smiling and very pleasant. Thinking of you and your family.
