Robert "Bob" Feddersen, 78, Hot Springs Village died on Monday, May 14, 2012, at a local hospital. Bob was born December 06, 1933 to the late Thomas and Bertha (Lampa) Feddersen in Cedar County, Iowa. Bob was raised on a farm in Iowa until he joined the United States Navy at the age of seven-teen where he served on the USS Monssen, until his return to the Cedar Rapids area where he became a journeyman pipe-fitter as well as an apprentice instructor. He later became employed by Penford Products where he retired as a maintenance supervisor in 1997. Bob proudly raised five children in the Cedar Rapids/Marion area. Bob married his wife Connie in 1997 and moved to Hot Springs Village in 1998, he was an avid golfer and loved living in HSV. Bob was an active member of Village United Methodist Church where he sang in the Chancel Choir, and served on various committees. Bob was also in the American Legion Post 0123. Bob is preceded in death by his parents and one brother-n-law Louis Strother. He is survived by his wife of fourteen years Connie of Hot Springs Village, four sons; Robert E. Jr. and wife Jennifer of Anamosa, Iowa, Rodney and wife Debra of Winona, MN, Rory and wife Kelly of Menomonee, WI and Jason Feddersen of Marion, Iowa, One daughter Lisa Rotsart of Austin, TX and two sisters Joyce Quinby and husband Robert of Howell, MI and Jacquelyn Strother of Martelle, IA, and nine beautiful grandchildren that he adored. Bob never met a stranger and was truly loved by his family, neighbors, church family and a multitude of friends! He will be deeply missed by all! A Memorial service will be held at Village United Methodist Church on Saturday, May 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. George McCoy officiating. Memorials may be made in Bob's honor to Glen Haven Youth Ranch or Village United Methodist Church.
