Robert W. Fegan

PERU -- Robert W. Fegan, 73, of Maiden Lane, Peru, died Thursday, June 12, 2008, at the CVPH Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born in Plattsburgh, July 24, 1934, the son of the late William F. and Violet M. (Trombley) Fegan.
Bob graduated from MIA in Plattsburgh and later attended Plattsburgh State University. He received a bachelor's degree from the University of Buffalo. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1957.
He was employed as a civil engineer for more than 30 years on the former Plattsburgh Air Force Base. He also worked for Habitat for Humanity.
Bob enjoyed gathering with the "Peru Coffee Club" and enjoyed the outdoors. He especially enjoyed Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks.
Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Nancy J. (Banta) Fegan, whom he married June 29, 1963, in Hagaman, N.Y.; and one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Steve Bellavance of Winsted, Conn.
There will be no public calling hours. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 14, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the Peru Community Church with Rev. Dr. Robert E. Svenson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in God's Acre Cemetery in Peru.
Donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Habitat for Humanity or Family Promise (Interfaith).
