Robert Finn Obituary
Robert died on Dec. 25, 2013. A descendent of one of Tyler's founding families, he was born on Nov. 16, 1950, to Dorothy Mary Bell and William Francis Finn Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Francis Finn Jr.; and son, Robert Henry Finn Jr.
Robert was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler and Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. His business interests were concentrated in commercial real estate and he once operated a wholesale pecan enterprise. Robert loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his son, Evan. His personal interests included golf, fishing, duck hunting and Blue Bell ice cream!
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Tracie; devoted son, Evan; niece, Mimi Baker and husband Matt; great-niece, Toni Jo Shawver and family; great-nephew, Jesse Overton; mother-in law, Joan Daly; father-in-law, Roger Daly and wife Kathy; sister-in-law, Missy Daly Bell; brothers-in-law, Ronnie Daly, Charles Coleman, Mike Coleman and Danny Coleman; cousins, Henry M. Bell III, Allen and Cindy Bell, Jim McCain, Bert McCain, Bill McCain, Sally Smith McLanahan, Nancy Smith, Hunter Brush, Betsy Brush Hahn, Brad Brush, Jane and Joe Max Green, Julie Green Hensler and John Green.
Pallbearers are Scott Kittrell, Winn Kittrell, Rodney Smith, Chip Billups, Bill Story, Gates Brelsford and Mark Glasser.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 118 S. Bois D'Arc Ave., Tyler, 75702; East Texas Christian Academy, 2448 Roy Road, Tyler, 75707; or the charity of one's choice.

Robert,
We didn't stay in touch for so many years but you were in my thoughts often. You were such a great friend in high school. I have many wonderful memories of you and your family. I loved the years working at Finn Advertising Agency and all the times spent with you and Dorothy and William and Bill. As your cousin I always felt warmly embraced by your entire family which was such an important part of my early life. I am so saddened you have gone so soon but know blessings will follow you in the eternal. My prayers are with your wife and son.

A gentle, good heart even when you made trouble. That's what I'll remember. And how lucky I was that our names made us alphabetical siblings, from Birdwell to graduation night. My condolences to Tracie and Evan, and to the many who loved Robert.
