Robert M Fitzpatrick (Fitzy) ,81, of Stoughton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 2, 2022. A Lifelong resident of Stoughton, Robert was the son of the late Robert E Fitzpatrick and Evelyn (Dykeman) Fitzpatrick. He attended St Mary's of Stoughton, and was employed by F.C Phillips as a Machine Engineer. What Fitzy cherished most was his Children and Grandchildren. His favorite pastime was attending Motocross and Auto racing, Oswego Speedway being his favorite place, which is where he became inspired to build race cars. After retiring from F.C Phillips Fitzy used his skill set, as a machinist, doing what he most enjoyed, building professional race cars. Fitzy was the biggest advocate of his son Robert's racing career. He was always there to offer advice to him and others, giving encouragement to help them accomplish their goals in auto racing. He is survived by his son, Robert Fitzpatrick Jr of Stoughton, his daughter Deborah Arnold and her husband Mark Arnold of Plymouth; his sisters Ann Savino of New Hampshire and Francine Bishop of Taunton. He is also survived by his grandchildren Lea Savas and her Husband Derek of Portsmouth RI, Tyler Fitzpatrick of Freetown, Shelby Arnold and fiancé' Cole Contois of Winthrop, Hannah, Max and Luke Arnold of Plymouth, as well as four Great grandchildren, Callie, Jake and Bodie Savas, Blake Contois, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Kane Funeral Home, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton on Thursday March 17th from 4pm – 6pm. Interment will be private In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Cam Neely foundation for Cancer Care in memory of Robert M. Fitzpatrick, Via https://camneelyfoundation.org/ways-to-give-2
