Bob was a very dear friend and the nicest man and gentleman. He was always cheerful and happy to see me. There are many good memories and he will be very much missed. May he rest in peace

Robert, my twin brother Sandy, and I grew up together, a block apart, attended PS 139 and played together frequently on Stratford or Argyle Rds., cutting through Charlotte Stratton's backyard to team up. It was a happy boyhood despite the depression, and we enjoyed each other's company through 8th grade. Our paths went in different directions after that, and I often wondered where Robert wound up. Sorry I didn't follow up sooner. Seems like he had a great career, as I have had in the healthcare field, as a medical editor, medical educator (not an MD) and healthcare entrepreneur. I am still active in a global consulting company and now founding a nonprofit to assist undocumented immigrants. My twin died of cancer, unfortunately at 59. I now live in Manhattan after 60 years in Darien CT, widowed, and enjoying once again may daughter, son and daughter in law, as well as by Facetime grandsons in Boston and Seattle and 2 great-grandchildren. My sympathies to Robert's family (To us, he was always Bobby!).
