I'm sorry to hear about Bob's passing recently. He was my instructor at Platt College in 1984. I was cleaning out my office today and saw some of the artwork grade sheets he signed and graded me on. I looked him up and found the sad news. I valued his classes greatly.

To the dear family of Bob Fritsch
Bob was the pride of the college. He made the art department grow greatly. His exquisite artwork and his devotion to students was extraordinary. A very wonderful friend and colleague who made us all very proud to know him. Bob made each one of us feel that we were important to him. He talked about baby Vivian. My deepest sympathy and heartfelt love to you all. God bless you Bob.

Dearest Nancy and family, Bob was the best. He was a wonderful teacher, friend and mentor. I enjoyed visiting his studio and attending Christmas at your house. I just heard last week about his death and was greatly saddened. I was hoping he would beat it. Mu love to you and the family he will be greatly missed. I just spoke with Joan Messenger and she wants to send her wishes as well.

I heard of Bob's passing last week. We enjoyed many hours in the drawing and print studios of San Diego State in the late 60s. I had hoped to visit the litho studio at Mira Mar in the spring. He would have be a great printmaking professor. I loved sitting in on his life drawing classes as well. I am one of many who will miss him. Know that my thoughts are with his family and of him.

Dear Nancy and Family, my heart is saddened by the news of Bob's passing. He was a huge part of my life, starting with City College (?), and then the Academy. His teaching and friendship influenced my growth as an artist, and he helped me through some tough times in my life, both as a mentor and as a friend to talk to. He has touched the lives of so many people, and gave so much to the arts community in San Diego.
I will hold him in my heart and memories, and think fondly of all the times we shared.
Nancy, I remember being very glad you were his love. You turned his life around, and made such a difference.
He will truly be missed.

20 years ago I crossed paths with a man named Bob. Bob was a really cool guy. I remember sitting in his studio learning about lithographs, and I will never forget that he gave me my first easel which I took and used to paint with. He gave me a lot of great advise and he complimented my art even when I didn't think it was as good as he said. Bob will be missed. Heaven will be a lot more vibrant with Bob's creative presence. Till we cross paths again in Heaven

We met Bob through his art school on Kettner and still have many friends that came from that lively time in our lives. He has been in our lives for a long time and and so has his art. His work graces our home and keeps him in our hearts.
So many memories.

Dearest Nancy, Bob will be GREATLY missed by so many people. He was an inspiration to us all. I KNOW that you and Bob were the first to sign the guest book at my husband's funeral. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate his helping me during those very dark times. He was a beacon of light and we could ALL depend on him. His love of art and his passion for prints was inordinate. I am so grateful to have known him and you. I know that without Bob's influence, many of us would not have the careers we have. He has been a dear, dear friend for over 40 years and I will miss him very much. I will NEVER forget your wonderful Christmas parties. As a couple, your spirit of generosity was incomparable. May your heart soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. We will all miss this truly great man.
