I spent many early Wednesday mornings in a bible study group with Kirk and several other men. He was our quiet leader and an inspiration to all. I know he must have had sin somewhere in his life but I never saw it.
I just always wished that I could be more like Kirk.
He was a great fisherman and a fearless wader.
Thank you God for Kirk!

Dr. Fry was a precious soul. My favorite memory was when for a bit during my college years I was living back at home and naturally went to work at the clinic. They would send me weekly with the docs to their satellite clinic in Alva to keep the records so their nurses could stay back. When it was his week he said `Why would we drive to Alva when we could fly? I´ll pick you up at your house on the way to the plane.´ Through my headset he talked me through everything he was doing as he flew and made what might have been an awkward boring day trip to and from work a really fun memorable experience. I´m pretty sure it took us longer to make flying there happen than it would have to just drive the short route. Lol. He was a gem of a human and leaves a legacy in your beautiful family.

My favorite memory of Kirk is the training and final 200 mile bicycle ride we did with Gary Atwood. It was quite a strenuous two days. On the first day, Kirk bumped wheels with another rider and he got flipped to the road. He cracked his helmet and complained of some right shoulder pain but got back on the bike and we rode on. During the next days ride, he sneezed and had immediate severe pain from his rib cage. He rode on to the end but the next day found out he had three broken ribs. I will never know how he rode a bike that far with broken ribs. Just an example of his strength and determination.

Kirk Fry was the best man I knew. I loved him and respected him for the man and surgeon he was. My favorite memory with him was hunting quail near Lamont with our friend Terry Lewis and my brother , Calvin. A special day. Our shared memories in surgery are many and very special. I´m sad at his leaving this life , but know that things are clear and bright for him now. Praying for Nancy and all his family.
