Robert Gamble

Robert Earl Gamble, 113 Rocky Lane, Kingsport died May 13, 2010 at Fort Sanders Hospital, Knoxville, TN from lung cancer..

Robert was born June 17, 1952 in Kingsport to Robert Emmitt and Della Gamble. He was a life long resident of Kingsport and was the Owner and Operator of Home and Office Pest Control. He had a personal relationship with the Lord and is now in his presence.

Surviving are his sister and her husband, Shirley Gamble Whisnant and William Shaw Whisnant. Several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 1:00 PM -3 :00 PM at East Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 3:00 PM with Pastor Wayne Baker officiating. Interment will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Junior Fuller, I. J. Sloan, Paul George, Buddy Depew, I. J. Horton, Leo Elam, Derrick Browder.
Honorary pallbearers, Johnny Gordon and Lee Fletcher.

In lieu of flowers Robert requested you make donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Sorry for your loss I was a customer of Roberts's.He had a huge heart for animals and children.I don't know if he wanted any credit for it but he use to leave presents for children at an apartment complex i took care of he knew they didn't have much he made sure the little girls found birthday and christmas presents left on their porch. The world lost a good man.

Keith and I were so saddened to learn of Earl's death. Although I did not know Earl well and only met him on several occasions, he impressed me as a gentle and caring man; especially evidenced in the loving care he gave to your mother (mother-in-law) in her last days. Shirley, you have been a good and faithful sister and I am so glad you got to spend some quality time with Earl in recent years. Please know how very much we care.

Shirley, I was so sorry to hear of Earl's passing. Earl was a very special friend and neighbor. He was a wonderful person. I know mom used to really enjoy his visits at her house. He is the kind of guy that would do anything for you.
