I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have prayed for your family ever since hearing about Matt.
I wanted to come and honor Matt's life and memory at his funeral but was not able. I have so many fond memories of Matt and our close knit group of friends growing up. Ms. Gaston, you and Mr. Gaston always opened your home and kitchen to all of us. Kim, you did a good job of keeping us in line when the parents were out. Jill, I don't know how you put up with us but you did. What a great family! What a great childhood! We all spent so much time together and Matt was always smiling and laughing! Those were wonderful years! It has been too long since I've seen Matt or any of you. I know that had Matt and I ran into one another we would have picked up right where we left off and would have talked and reminisced for hours. When I told my wife and kids about Matt, though I was sad and shocked to hear the news, I shared some of my fondest memories and we all laughed as they enjoyed hearing about my childhood friend and high school buddy. Matt was always a great and loyal friend. I was blessed to have such a great friend.
I pray that God will bless and keep you during this difficult time. I pray that His love, joy, and peace will comfort you through His Holy Spirit and all of your friends and loved ones. I hope to see you at some point soon. We would love to meet Matt's wife and son.

Jeanette, I did not learn of Matt's passing until the 31st. I am so saddened by your loss. After reading the many condolonces stating what a special person Matt was, I am not surprised because he was blessed with special parents. This is just hard to believe. Such a great, great guy and such a short time here on earth. We will always have to remember his smile and laugh - I talked to him often on the phone at work and you could just hear laughter in his voice.
