Our years at Ohio State are among some of the fondest in my life. In college, I gave him the nickname of "Facts" because he was so knowledgeable. Facts worked with me, Craig Prosser, and Mal Webb at WOIO. It was our first radio job together. Fifty years later we held a reunion in Atlanta and called ourselves the 4 Horsemen of Derby Hall. We both wrote books which are displayed in the Student Union at Ohio State. Bob was always very proud of that. He was my dear and special friend for the rest of our lives.

Bob was always a strong leader who was deeply diplomatic and quite humorous. I will miss being able to pick up the phone and pick his brain or hear stories about things and seeing how he connected the disparate parts of his life. He was a good person who cared about others. - Franco

Bob and I attended Ohio State at the same time but we did not know each other at that time. I meet Bob about 10 years ago thru the South Dade Democrat Club and he persuaded me to get active in the club. We also spent many times together watching our beloved Buckeyes football team . I read and enjoyed his book. He also got me interested in baseball again and we went to the Marlins games. I will miss him but enjoy the good memories of our time together. Joel Zwelling

Bob was a great friend, one of my most knowledgeable baseball fan, a Democrat's party leader. We met at a John Glenn reception.
His laughter and enthusiasm will be missed

This is Bob's cousin Don Berman writing. Bob and I spent much time together when were both growing up in Columbus. Our conversations at our get togethers ranged from sports, history, politics, books and movies. A favorite memory is when Ohio State played in the 1977 Orange Bowl. I was living in Chicago then and flew to Miami and stayed with Bob. We went to the game together and took much delight in the Buckeyes easy win. The good times and happy memories Bob and I shared together will always be a source of comfort to me.
