I had been asking people “had they seen or heard from you” the answer was always “no” then I heard about your passing and was very sad! Stg. Major Gray was the best teacher/instructor I ever had! I hated that I left the school to attend another but still the best! He pushed me to be a great woman! He never let me give up on myself, he was strict but in a good way like a father and he made me go beyond my potential when I doubted myself! He saw in me what I didn’t and pushed me to ranks and be on the drill team! I loved being in JROTC! Thank you, and thank you to the family for sharing him! I hate I’m just hearing of this I would’ve attended the service if it weren’t private! C/O 99.

To The Gray Family:
My sincere condolences to you. I was really shocked to hear of Mr. Gray's passing. He was such a great neighbor. I know you will miss him dearly. But we all know that God never makes mistakes. John 10:27 - says- "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
Goodbyes are the law of earth - reunions are the law of heaven.
Continue to keep his memories in your hearts and you will always feel his presence.

I am sad. I worked with my friend for many years at WHS. We laughed and had good talks about life. I will miss my Lifetime friend.

Sgt. Maj Gray was an amazing human being, teacher and mentor. He always motivated me to give my best. I feel lucky to have been one of his students and to know him personally. Sgt. Maj is a legend in his own right, his wit and sayings will live on forever in every student who came in contact with him. Still cannot believe He's one of those people you think will live forever. RIP Sgt. Maj, gone but won't be forgotten.

My heart is hurting because you are not here. My soul is rejoicing knowing I will see you again. There are not enough words than I can express how you from day 1 accepted me, encouraged me oftenabout finishing school, watching over the kids at Willowridge HS even enough to stay working until they graduated. Your heart was BIG and it showed in your actions. You will ALWAYS be in my heart until we meet again and I will miss the Best Father-in-Love ever❤
