Robert Grindle Obituary
He was born on Dec. 1, 1976 to Robin Renee Grindle in Galesburg.
Robert enjoyed fishing, spending time with his nieces and nephews, and kicking it with his good friends and family. He also enjoyed quality time with his beloved pitbull, "Champ." He was also a loving father to three beautiful daughters, Mariah, Madison, and Morgan. Robert will be remembered by those that knew him as a man with a big heart.
Survivors include parents, Robin Grindle of Hanover and ex-stepfather, Westley Swearingen, of Big Foot, whom he loved very much; daughters, Mariah, Madison, and Morgan Grindle, all of northern Illinois; brothers, Danny (Ashley) Bent of Glendale Heights and Dustin (Missy) Grindle of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; stepbrothers, Brian Swearingen of Wonder Lake and Frank Swearingen of Alden; stepsister, Gloria Swearingen of Wonder Lake; aunts, Vicky McNaught of Wataga and Denise Taylor of Hanover; cousins, Amy (Jason) Marshall, Jamie (Heather) Grindle, Eric Webster, Emily (David) Mitchell, Lindsay (Craig) Hillery, Mallory (Terry) Darst, Victoria Speck, Jarod (Alicia) Rogers, and Cole (Kylie) Rogers; best friend, Robert Chavez, who he loved like a brother; and his wife, Roma.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Vera Roberts, great-grandparents Leroy and Naomi Cruys; his aunt, Debra Bern; and his cousin, Trevor Garman.
There will be a memorial gathering from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2016, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.
