Robert Hagan Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 12, 2023.
Robert "Bob" Howard Hagan, 79 years, of Jarrettsville, Maryland, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at home. Born March 7, 1944 in Monkton, Maryland, he was the son of the late John and Louise Hagan.

Bob worked as a photographer and photo lab chief for the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center for 37 years before retiring on July 30, 2004.

Bob is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cindy Hagan, his daughter Susan Moyer and her husband Zachary, and his son Jason Hagan and his fiancée Robin. Also survived by his brothers, Herman Hagan and David Hagan (wife Mary), and many nieces and nephews.

Along with photography, in retirement Bob enjoyed driving his Corvettes, making stained glass, and mowing all 12 acres of his lawn so that it looked like a golf course. He adored their two Old English Sheepdogs Howie and Tilley.

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Parkinson's research (www.michaeljfox.org), dementia research (www.alz.org), heart disease (www.heart.org), or Black Dogs and Company Rescue (PayPal [email protected])

I am told that Bob made my rescue dog feel welcomed and loved. Walter says he gave him lots of treats and made him feel safe. He says Bob was a very kind and affectionate guy and will be missed. ( Dogs do not lie)

What a gift to have known Bob. His gentle soul will be missed terribly. May his memory be a blessing.
