BUTLER: An American patriot whose generous nature and large heart was expressed not in words but actions, Snook Hamilton was giving and kind. Living just how he wanted…often while riding his Harley, Robert "Snook" Hamilton, of Butler, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, July 31, 2016 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was 59.
The son of Robert and Anna (Long) Hamilton, Snook was born March 24, 1957 in Mansfield and was graduated from Clear Fork High School in 1975.
Snook retired from General Motors in April 2009. He worked with his father, Bob, at General Motors. Those at work got the biggest kick out of seeing Snook, with his dad at work facing off…and his dad was always right. Snook never truly retired.
Detailed and particular, Snook's passion was fixing everyone's motorcycle. Upon completion, they were immaculate. His cars and truck were spotless as well… another trait passed on by his father. Snook was noted for his racing abilities as well as his compassion in helping others.
Proud of his country, Snook was very patriotic. He was a Son as well as Rider Member of the Bellville AmVets Post #43, a member of SAL Bellville American Legion Post #535, Member of Loudonville American Eagles, Sons of Herman Mansfield, and Moose Lodge Mansfield.
He was loved and appreciated by so many people and will be truly missed.
He is survived by his parents Bob and Ann Hamilton of Bellville; brother Kurtis (Tammy) Hamilton of Bellville; sisters Becky (Dr. Bradley) Walker of Bellville, Malinda Worner Nowowiezski (Richard) of Toledo, and Debbie Walker of Galena; daughter Tiffany Kennedy of Mt. Vernon; grandson Seven Kennedy of Fredericktown; the love of his life Barb Miller; several nieces and nephews; his beloved dogs Mable and Weezy.
He was preceded in death by his nephew Chad Walker and brother-in-law John Worner.
His family will receive friends Today, Wednesday August 3, 2016 from 4-7pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where his funeral will be Thursday at 11am. Snook's brother-in-law Dr. Bradley Walker will officiate and burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Robert Hamilton Memorial Fund (please make checks payable to Snyder Funeral Homes) may be made through the funeral home.

Snook was one of the best, Big heart always willing to help in any way, I was friends with him for years, We had our own little bicycle gang as kids in bellville and use to chop our bikes and tool around town. Snook and his brother Curt were the best on the bicycles, they could pop a wheely and ride them for 100 yards or more. My Condolences to the Family during these hard times. R.I.P. Snook you will be very Much Missed.

Snook was a very close friend of mine. To me, he was family. We spent many years together. He was a fine man in life, would do anything for anybody. I love him and he will be greatly missed. Never forgotten in my eyes.
Life is a journey, riding into the wind.
A highway that will never end.
That"s the way it will always be.
Until life will no longer be.
So, ride on my brother til' journeys end.
We will meet with you, and ride again.
Love ya Snook

There is so much I will miss about him. His smile, his wit, arguing politics, just seeing him. How about pointing his finger at you when he talks, " you don't get it do you" and " you got it". Love you Snook.
Love you Babe. So sorry
