Robert Aaron "Bud" Harrold, 81, passed away on May 15, 2025, in Arlington, Texas. Born on December 23, 1943, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bud lived a life marked by dedication-to his family, his country, and his work.

Bud graduated from Tulsa Central High School and went on to attend Oklahoma State University. His professional journey led him into the field of engineering, where he built a distinguished career as a manufacturing engineer. Over the years, he contributed his expertise to several major companies including Crescent Oil Company, McDonnell Douglas, Rockwell International, Vought Aircraft (LTV), and Triumph Aerospace. He concluded his career as a retired aerospace engineer at Northrop Grumman. Among his many accomplishments were contributions to the development of the B2 Spirit Bomber and the C-130 Globemaster-projects that stand as testaments to his skill and commitment.

A proud veteran, Bud served in the United States Army and later in the U.S. Army National Guard as a Military Police officer. He achieved the rank of E-6/Staff Sergeant during his service. His sense of duty extended beyond military service into every aspect of his life.

Bud was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and practiced his Christianity through various faith-based activities. Known for helping anyone in need, he lived out his values with quiet generosity and steadfast faith.

Outside of work and service, Bud was a man of many interests. He coached Little League baseball and was an active member of the Fraternal Order of Elks in Arlington. An avid hunter of deer and dove, he also enjoyed bowling, shuffleboard, country western dancing, and tinkering as a shade-tree mechanic. A self-proclaimed collector with an eye for everything-from tools to trinkets-he embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity.

Bud is survived by a loving family who will carry forward his memory: his sister Patricia Wright; brother-in-law Jimmy Duvall; brother-in-law James Klaus; daughter Angelia M. Fridley (Mike P. Fridley); son Scott A. Harrold (Laura Burgess); daughter Aimee R. Harrold; grandchildren Christopher M. Fridley, Lauren N. Fridley, Zack A. Harrold, MacKenzie R. Harrold, Jayden D. Harrold, Sierra K. Harrold, Keziah C. Harrold, and Azlin G. Harrold; great-granddaughter Jane Fridley Bouchard; nieces Caprice Lunn, Tammy Johnson, Michelle Ladd, Jamie Lynn; nephews Randy Duvall and Jimmy Wright; several great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins Sandra Barnett, Linda Lincks, and Linda Pennington.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Barbara K. Harrold; father Clell A. Harrold; mother Ilona N. Harrold; sisters Barbara J. Duvall and Carolyn J. Klaus; brother-in-law Bufford Wayne Wright; and nephew Russell Duvall.

Public viewing service celebrating Bud's life was held on June 5 at Harris Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas.

A Graveside Service will be held on June 11, 2025, from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Floral Haven Cemetery 6500 South 129 East Avenue, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma

Bud was a avid collector of items from tools to furniture to whatever caught his eye, Think it was in his genetics from his father Clell. Both loved Garage Sells. Also you never missed him and grandpa and their Bolo Ties with turquoise. It was a must every where they went, they showed their Cherokee Backgrounds. Also was joking
