HART _ Robert John (Bob) 1945 - 2003 Robert John (Bob), beloved husband of Lynwen Hart of Calgary, passed away at the Rosedale Hospice on Saturday, September 27, 2003 at the age of 58 years. Bob was born April 17, 1945 in Calgary and was raised in the Rosedale community. Bob attended Crescent Heights High School and the University of Calgary where he received his Bachelor of Education in 1969. Bob and Lynwen were married in Edmonton in 1969. Bob loved being an educator for thirty years, primarily in the area of Mathematics. Bob was President of MCATA from 1991 to 1993 and was on the Alberta Teachers Association Board, Local 38 from 1989 to 1993. Since his retirement from the Calgary Board of Education, he enjoyed working with Texas Instruments in the field of teacher training regarding hand held computers and data collection tools. Bob enjoyed curling, socializing with friends and dedicated himself toward building a strong and resilient family. Besides his loving wife Lynwen, Bob is also survived by his daughter Beverly Hart and Lee Sinclair of Calgary and a son David Hart and Stephanie McIntyre of Calgary. He is also survived by his parents Margaret and David Hart of Calgary and was predeceased by his sister Betty Leigh in 1952. Memorial Services will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church (1009 - 15 Avenue S.W.) on Monday, October 6, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. with the Rev. Victor Kim officiating. The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, in particular to Dr. Tara Pickering, and to the Rosedale Hospice.
