We are saddened to announce that Robert Lewis Hauser, 73, passed away unexpectedly on December 7, 2024 in Woodland, California.

Rob was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell W. Hauser and Lorraine K. Hauser and a brother Jim Hauser. He is survived by his siblings, John Hauser and Rick Hauser.

Rob was born in Redlands, CA at Redlands Community hospital, he was raised in Yucaipa, CA. Rob attended public schools in Yucaipa, elementary school through high school, graduating in 1969. Rob later attended San Bernardino Valley College earning his B. A. and went on to attend the University of Redlands where he earned his B. S. in Geology. Rob worked for the State of California as a Senior Gas and Oil Engineer, retiring after 3O+ years of service.

Rob was a proud veteran of the United States Army. His service began November 27, 1970 and he was honorably discharged on November 22, 1972. Rob was promoted to the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Army Reserve. He loved his country and was proud to serve.

Rob was an excellent marksman and an avid hunter. His interests took him on many hunting expeditions, some as far away as Africa. Rob maintained his proficiency with weaponry, practicing twice a week up until the week he passed away.

Rob was a trusted friend to many. He lived a life marked by integrity and hard work. If you were lucky enough to have him as your friend, then you had one very loyal and dependable friend for life! Honesty and integrity were important to Rob and he treasured his friendships. Few knew what a philanthropist Rob was, he touched countless lives through his generosity and kindness, all the while remaining quiet and humble. His wisdom, and kind-hearted spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, Dec. 30 at 11:00 AM at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California. Please consider making a donation in Rob's memory to your favorite charity.
